Movement Method is excited to offer Kinstretch classes to our library - a mobility system, based on science.  If you are a Yogi, a Dancer, a Runner, an Athlete, or you simply want to feel better and move better in your body, this practice is for you.

Kinstretch offers end-range strengthening techniques that target the various movements within each of our joints.

Funky Strap Sequence For Hip Flexion

Carrying over from Kate’s Jet Pack blog last week on Movement Method, let’s keep using the strap as a way to prop up a bunch of Yoga postures.

Here’s a fun sequence using the strap to target hip flexion at different angles.

All these variations with the strap help create the proper positioning and alignment of the postures and  help direct the body in a way that creates stability, form and function.

The Jetpack Flow

Here at Movement Method we love yoga props. In our classes on this platform you will find countless unique and functional ways to use props.

Here is one of our favourite ways to use a strap to help you with your posture by opening up your pecs and keeping your shoulders down and back. You can use it as an anti-slouch tool as you move through your day or take it with you through a vinyasa sequence of postures as instructed in this video. Shoutout to the Iyengar system for the Strap Jacket idea - we love it!
